Last updated 25 October 2026. This page describes the Ceevara demo at ceevara.com.
Who runs Ceevara
Ceevara is built by an individual as an independent, citizen-led effort. It is not a government service yet, and it is working toward the approvals needed to run officially. Questions: [email protected].
What the demo keeps, and where
- What you type into the apps (your name, places, requests, complaints and answers) is stored only in your own browser on your own device. It is not sent to a Ceevara server, because the demo has none.
- Clearing your browser's site data for ceevara.com removes it.
- Complaints and requests in the demo are not sent to any government office.
What reaches other services
- Maps load tiles from CARTO, OpenStreetMap and Esri, which see your device's IP address and the map area you view.
- News, nearby places and area history are fetched from GDELT, OpenStreetMap (Overpass) and Wikipedia using the pincode or area you are viewing, not your name.
- Fonts load from Google Fonts.
- If you choose "Use my location", your browser asks first, and the location is used on your device to find your pincode.
- If you email [email protected] or request an invite by email, we receive what you send and use it only to reply.
AI
The demo understands requests with built-in rules on your device. When AI is added, phone, document and account numbers are removed before anything is sent, and AI never decides what you are entitled to.
Your choices
You can stop using the demo at any time and clear your browser data. To ask about anything you emailed us, write to [email protected].
When Ceevara goes beyond a demo
Before real complaints or personal data are handled, this page will be replaced with a full privacy notice in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
